Sound Designer and Soundscape Composer
“Yvonne Gilbert is a freelance theatre sound designer and audio engineer with over 20 years of experience in live performance. A member of the Association for Sound Design and Production, international SoundGirls organisation supporting women in audio, she specialises in soundscape creation, system design, and live vocal reinforcement across opera, drama, and musical theatre. Following seven years as a Sound Manager at the English National Ballet her freelance work focuses on designing immersive sonic environments for leading venues including the English National Opera, the National Theatre, and Sadler’s Wells.
